Loretto Roth Obituary

ROTH Loretto ("Mitzi") Pierre Roth, wife of the late Charles Philip Roth, Jr., passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2008, at the age of 85. Mitzi was born August 9, 1922, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Frank and Bereniece (Vitter) Pierre. She was a graduate of Mount Carmel Academy. Mitzi had worked for the New Orleans Department of Sanitation for many years before her retirement. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her daughter, Charlene Phyllis Roth. Mitzi is survived by her sister, Hilda Pierre Sheppard and her grandson, J. Patrick Butler, III. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery), on Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held on Wednesday beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery #3. For those so desiring, memorials in honor of Mitzi Roth may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church or to St. Angela Merici Catholic Church. It is difficult to express my shock and grief at the loss of Mitzi so soon after Charley passed. Please know that my prayers are with you in the loss of my cousins.
