RIP Mr. Colby,

It is a great loss to the world. Your knowledge on Pits is unsurpassed. As I proud owner of a 39lb female Colby dog, that came straight from you, I believe you lived the most rewarding life ever, being around these animals every day.
I know there is a space for you in Valhalla.

I hope the breeding will continue, so the world can enjoy Colby dogs for another 100 years.

I hope to pick up another one next summer.

My condolences to the enitre Colby family. I had the honor of meeting Mr. Colby several years ago, when we made an addition to our family. Mr. Colby initially denied my request to purchase one of his dogs, until we sent pictures of our family with our APBT, who happened to be dressed in a tutu, and another with her in our bed sleeping, like she was just one of the kids. Once he saw our dog was truly a part of our family he granted my request to purchase one of his dogs. It was a true honor to meet him, and have one of his APBT's in our home. We lost our sweet luckie last year. They are once again reunited.

Possibly one of the greatest dogmen to ever breathe air. He was a weath of knowledge, great storyteller, an oracle if you will. I came up to the farm several times to buy dogs and did a breeding with Peter (his grandson) once. He inspired me to also be an advocate and an educator of others for these great animals. It was a joy and a pleasure to be able to meet him, hear his voice, touch his hand.....RIP Lou....you will be missed!!!! ps. thank u for allowing me to buy Colby's Tina aka Nala from you. She is the finest dog I have ever had.

On behalf of the Greenwood family and the American Dog Breeders Assocation, our condolences and prayers go to the entire Colby family. We are so sorry for your loss. The APBT family has lost a great person who has contributed so much. He carried on a tradition of excellence and the family name remains one of legends as a result of his efforts.
