After attending the ABC/USA Biennial in Virginia Beach, I began thinking about Lucille and the wonderful times we had at the Annual Women's Conference in Green Lake, Wisconsin. Googling the internet, I just discovered she had passed away. She and Bill were two wonderful people. May she find eternal rest in her heavenly home.

As my Sunday school teacher growing up, Lucille helped create an enriching and loving faith community for me to grow up in a valuable inheritance I will take with me for the rest of my life.
My respects to Greg and the family.

I see a familiar face in the newspaper today. Lucille knew our parents, Betty Jean Busch and Harvey Leverne Speck at the U of O before they were married in 1947 in Eugene, OR. Lucille was a bridesmaid in the wedding party. My sister Peggy and I can still hear Lucille's voice and wonderful throaty laugh. I can still hear conversation between our Mom Betty and Lucille when she would visit our house on Friendly Street for the exchange of Toni home perms.
Harvey passed away in early 2016 and our little Mom Betty on March 4 of this year. Another bright and wonderful member of a special generation has gone from us. Our joy is that we will see and know one another again in the light of our Savior. All our sympathy and prayers for hearts of peace and healing as we remain and remember. Randall Curtis Speck and Peggy Lynn Speck.

Our mission trip to the Philippians in 1994 is one of my favorite memories. Phil and Brad were also two of my favorite students when I taught band at Willamette HS in Eugene in the early 70s.
