Madeline Faulconer Obituary

Madeline C. Faulconer

Madeline C. Faulconer, 81, of Madison Heights, went to be with the Lord on Fridsy, April 30, 2010, with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Hayes Simmons Faulconer.

Born Dec. 11, 1928, in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Margie Wright Campbell. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, William Thurman Campbell and Clarence Dudley Campbell.

She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and was retired from the Central Virginia Training School.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 2, 2010, at Whitten Monelison Chapel and at other times at the residence of Mrs. Faulconer. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 3, 2010, at Whitten Monelison Chapel by the Rev. J.D. Surbaugh Jr. and the Rev. Paul Campbell. Interment will follow in Faulconer Family Cemetery.

Survivors include four children, Larry H. Faulconer and wife, Helen, of Madison Heights, Linda Sprouse and husband, Allen, of New Castle, Steve Faulconer and wife, Brenda, of Monroe, and Michael Faulconer, of Lynchburg; her brother, J.T. Campbell, and wife, Thelma, of Lynchburg; sister-in-law, Lucy D. Campbell, of Madison Heights; her aunt, Ethel Owens, of Madison Heights; 10 grandchildren, Lorri, Melissa, Stevie, Beth, Justin, Bud, Brad, Amy, Daisy and Wendy; 13 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank the Surgical ICU at Centra Health, to Glen Campbell, for the extra care, and special thanks for the loving care and attention given by grandchildren, Lorri Faulconer and Stevie Ray Faulconer Jr.
