Thank you Mr Lederer for taking a chance on a young athlete and bringing me up to the Emerson Westwood Merchants I will always cherish those memories and your confidence in me and your coaching and counsel

Happy new year!

I was a student in the River Vale NJ school system. Bud taught me history in the 8th grade. He was also my baseball coach on our team. I became the batboy for the EW Merchants baseball team which he ran. One of my fondest memories was taking batting practice off of Tom Aker former big league pitcher while he was a member of the team. Bud took me to a Mets Reds game at Shea once. I share his love for history. Glad to see that he lived a full life.

R.I.P. Mr. Lederer

Mr. Lederer taught so many invaluable lessons about life yesterday and today and made me a lover of history. He taught me nothing less than respect, thoughtfulness and thirst for knowledge. I am a better person for knowing him. Rest assured he will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace Mr. Lederer.

Steve, Caroline and Patti I remember your mother and father well. Keep your relationship with one another strong. I am certain you will continue to be happy and successful. Mr. P

He helped inspire my interest in history in 7th grade.

Mr Lederer was my teacher at Waldwick High School back in the 70's. He was tough but I enjoyed his class immensely -I even got an "A". My condolences to his family. GodSpeed Mr Lederer.
