I was a student in the River Vale NJ school system. Bud taught me history in the 8th grade. He was also my baseball coach on our team. I became the batboy for the EW Merchants baseball team which he ran. One of my fondest memories was taking batting practice off of Tom Aker former big league pitcher while he was a member of the team. Bud took me to a Mets Reds game at Shea once. I share his love for history. Glad to see that he lived a full life.

Sorry to hear about Bud's passing. He was a good friend and will be missed and remembered. We worked together coaching H S Football back in the early 60's and for many years with the Merchants Baseball team which was Buds early passion.

My deepest sympathy
