Manuel DeHaro Ortega

1928 - 2022

Manuel DeHaro Ortega passed away peacefully in his sleep in Riverside, California on March 18, 2022. Manuel was born in Montebello, California on November 10, 1928. He lived all of his life with his family in Riverside with many of those years at the family residence in Casa Blanca. Manuel spent thirty-seven years as an enormously valued employee of the Riverside Unified School District. He retired from his job as Foreman of the Paint Crew in 1995. Manuel loved to travel, and introduced his family and friends to the wonders of Yosemite National Park. Other favorite family trips included travel to Lake Tahoe, San Francisco, and Las Vegas. He is survived by his loving wife of seventy-four years, Consuelo; three daughters, Hortencia Calvo of Anaheim Hills, Delia Marquez of Riverside, Eileen Aldrich of Riverside; siblings Peter Ortega and Marty Falcon. Love of family was central to Manuel's heart, he also is survived by four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was beloved by all. Special thanks to Raincross at Riverside, Memory Care Unit and Bridges Hospice for the loving care staff provided Manuel during his final days. A viewing for Manuel will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave, Riverside CA 92504. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at 7944 Magnolia Ave, Riverside CA 92504 followed by a graveside service from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Olivewood Memorial Park, 3300 Central Ave, Riverside CA 92506.
