Mark Kelly Obituary

Kelly, Mark Patrick Sr.

73, of Tampa, passed away on September 22, 2025, with his family at his side. Born at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Guam, he graduated from Jesuit High School in 1969 and earned his B.A. and J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans. An accomplished attorney and partner at Lopez, Kelly & Bible, P.A., he litigated cases from admiralty to zoning and was especially known for his thoughtful advocacy in family law. He gave generously of his time, serving with St. Michael's Legal Center, the Family Law Inns of Court, the Hillsborough County Bar Family Law Section, and Jesuit's alumni community. A man of deep Catholic faith and longtime parishioner at Christ the King, he cherished family, fishing and boating, creative projects, and sunny days on Little Gasparilla Island. He is survived by his children, Mark Patrick Kelly Jr. and Megan Kelly-Horrnik (Anthony "Tony" Horrnik); granddaughters, Charlotte and Sutton; mother, Mary Ann Kelly Sr.; and sisters, Mary Ann Kelly Jr. (Luther Waller) and Mary Frances Kelly.
