Mark Urban Obituary
Mark Urban, age 45, of Deep River passed away unexpectedly on December 6, 2014. He was born in Middletown on July 23, 1969 the son of the late Walter and Ruth (Lund) Urban. Mark graduated from Valley Regional High School in Deep River and went on to become an EMT. He started his own business. BSM Construction. He loved all things big and small. Mark touched the hearts of everyone he met. He loved animals, fishing, boating, snowmobiling, and tinkering with old cars. He is survived by his children, Benjamin Urban of Deep River and Carly Urban of Chester, his siblings, Michael Urban of Anchorage, AK, his half brother, Walter Urban, of Hilo, HI, his step-sister, Lisa Mee of Hazard, KY, his former wife, Shelly Urban, of Chester, and his devoted partner for over a decade, Jacqueline Dobruck, of Deep River. Mark also leaves countless other friends and family who were blessed to have known him. Visitation will be held at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook on Friday, December 12, 2014 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 13th at 9:00AM at the First Congregational of Deep River, 1 Church Street in Deep River. Burial will follow in Saint Agnes Cemetery in Branford. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation, 4742 N. 24th Street, Suite 400, Phoenix, AZ., 85016-4862. Mark, your personality was larger than life and your laugh infectious and endearing. You impacted my life and so many other of your friends with your quick wit and lust for life and especially your loyalty to us. You always made time to help others unselfishly. I feel blessed to have known you and to have called you a friend . Your special talent was picking people up when they were down and you lifted them up and made them feel happy by cheering them up with your instinctive sense of humor. I'm so blessed to have had you in my life and to have had you as a friend. Thank you for your friendship and the way you loved and treated my parents and always having my back buddy. You taught me how to be a better person from knowing you. I love you now and always . I will never forget you brother. Although my heart is broken your memory will always sustain me and make me laugh really hard! Because you were the funniest guy I have ever known. Rest In Peace Mark. Until we meet again....

I did not see Mark, my cousin, very often but the times I did he always made me laugh. Mark loved life and always brought a smile to my face when we were together, even during some tough times. Rest in peace, Mark, and Mike I hope you are able to find comfort in the fact that he and your mom will be watching over you together and keeping you safe.

Mark was a frequent visitor to our home and lived with us during his senior year in high school. He was always laid back, funny and thoroughly enjoyed my cooking. He will be missed by everyone he touched.
