I remember the first time I saw Mary Anne. She was standing on the porch of the old Welfare Dept on Mound St. She had on a red maternity coat & couldn't even button it. I can see that in my head as if it was yesterday. When Candy got in the car I said that lady looks like she's having twins or triplets. I'm not sure if Mary Anne even knew then that it was twins. But many years later those very talented twins were in musicals I directed at CHS. Another memory I have was after Mary Anne was teaching Social Studies at CHS. In The morning I always walked down the hallway in which her room was located because if she went down the hall first it had the fragrance of lilies of the valley perfume & that made a good start for my day. Mary Anne was a very special person and I am sorry for your loss.

I had the pleasure to work with Mary Ann for years at Circleville High School. She was an outstanding educator; bright, energetic, with a sharp wit, she challenged her students. We had many conversations after school in which she and I "solved" the world's problems. She leaves a legacy to her children and grandchildren. Thank you, Mary Ann, for being you.
