Mary Ponce Obituary
Raised next door to St. Helen Catholic Church, Mary Lou drew strength from prayer and held a deep belief in the resurrection and eternal life. She faithfully served her parish through the Bereavement Ministry, Guadalupana Ministry, Intercessory Prayer Group, and as a Eucharistic Minister.
Mary Lou is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, Carlos T. Ponce; five children and twelve grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Manual P. and Cruzita Lopez, and her sisters, Lydia Calderon and Lucinda Olvera.
Visitation will be held December 29, 2025, from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Mont Meta Memorial Park, with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated December 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Helen Catholic Church in Rio Hondo. Burial of ashes will take place Friday, January 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
