MARY ANN SHEETS

MARY ANN SHEETS, 85, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, 6:25 a.m., at The Heritage of Huntington. Born April 22, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Marie Rose. She was a graduate of Union City High School, Union City, Mich. She retired from Royal Lace Packaging in 1982. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 160 in Roanoke, Ind. She attended The Chapel in Fort Wayne. She enjoyed bowling, reading, and being outdoors with her flowers and watching the birds. She also had a passion of helping others, especially her family. She married Annan Sheets in 1952; he preceded in death on Aug. 9, 1996. She is survived by three children, Michael (Janet) Sheets and Sue (Randy) Porter, both of Roanoke and Judy (Stan) Neuenschwander of Marion; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild; brother, Jim (Pauline) Hart of N. Adams, Mich.; several nieces and nephews; and one ornery kitty, Lynx. Service is 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Rick Hawks of The Chapel officiating.
