I had the honor of knowing Mr. Lipscomb through my friendship with Mat lll. Remembering the times hunting and fishing with father and son, especially the fish dinner my wife and I enjoyed in the fish hut behind the house.

Mat was a good friend of mine as I got to know him when I was with the Mission Insurance Company and Amerisure Insurance Company in the early and mid-1980's. We played golf together several times and it was always great to see him! My favorite story was when he told me how he was just barely able to pull his P-51 fighter plane out of a steep dive only a few months before the war ended in the Pacific. So sorry for the Lipscomb family. God Bless Mat and RIP.

Mr. Lipscomb personified what I always saw as a "true Southern Gentleman". It was a privilege to know him and work with him. I know he is rejoicing with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Kathy and our family, join Mr Lipscombs family and friends , in Celebrating his life of love and service to Our Lord, his family, country and community.
As the gates of Heaven open to receive him ,I can't help but think of the many doors he has opened for so many on earth.
Our best tribute will be to take a trait he showed us in life and apply it to how we serve God our families and strangers..
May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.
Amen to a life well lived

Mr. Mat Lipscomb was a very special person. He was always so kind, gentle, and very caring with everyone. It really came across to you that Mr. Mat was a man of true faith in God. You could carry on a interesting conservation with him or listen to one of his Tennessee Tobacco Farming stories and he would put you in awe about how life was during and after the great depression. We loved to hear him tell some of his great history and aircraft flying stories. It was always so much fun to be around Mr. Mat. He had a real talent, he would always make you feel much better and lift you up. There was no doubt he was a true friend of yours and you knew he was a faithful christian who loved people. We just loved Mr. Mat. Our hearts and our prayers are with the Matthew Wilson Lipscomb Family, their families and their friends. God be with you and comfort you.
Most Respectfully,
