MATTHEW ROSENFIELD Obituary
Matthew was born in Boston, MA. He graduated from the Hotchkiss School and graduated from George Washington University with a degree in Business Finance. He was a partner and Account Executive at JN Phillips Auto Glass.
Services will be held at Shir Tikva, 141 Boston Post Road, Wayland, on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 10:00AM. Burial at Beth Israel Cemetery, Everett. Following burial, shiva will be held at Judy and Philip's home until 5:00PM and continuing 6:00PM to 8:00PM and on Wednesday from 2:00 to 5:00PM and 6:00 to 8:00PM.
In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Fender Music Foundation,

I "met" him on Facebook recently when he posted an amazing birthday tribute to you, including a photo of us way back when. Clearly an amazing young man with a heart of gold who adored his mom. I've been struggling with what to say- it's hard to put into words what a profound loss this is and how much he meant to anyone who was blessed to know him. For those who did know him they knew how much love he had for his wife, family, and friends. As a friend, Dewey helped me through some of the hardest times in my life and when I lost someone close to me he reminded me to always focus on the happier times, the laughs, and the positive memories. The pain of his loss may feel insurmountable at times, but we can all try to focus on how much happiness and joy he brought into our lives and hopefully our hearts won't hurt as much as they do right now. Whenever a Boston sports team wins we know he'll be cheering! Thinking of you all.

I am so sorry for your loss. I went to HS with Dewey. Even though I didn't know him well, I believe he was a truly special person. I always remember him being warm, funny and smiling.

Dewey was truly one of a kind. My brother, Lee and Dewey became close friends at GW and in many ways was a little brother to me as well. He always had a smile on his face and could make you feel like $1M with just one conversation. His effervescent personality was a rare gift and he will surely be missed by all. We are so heartbroken. It was truly a privilege and an honor to have known and loved Dewey. We will always remember his warm kindness, his hugs and his smile. He had a knack of making everyone that he met feel so special especially our two daughters. They loved playing with him and talking about music. They told us the other day that Dewey used to play Full House with them and of course he played the part of Uncle Jesse. Dewey will be greatly missed by all of us.
