Michael Franzese Obituary
Michael Paul Franzese passed away on Sunday September 18, 2011 at age 81. He was born on June 13, 1930 to Lucia and Joseph in the Bronx, where he graduated from Roosevelt H.S. On April 8, 1956 he married Mary Paolicelli in Mt. Carmel Church in the Bronx; she died in 2003. Mr. Franzese worked for the U.S. Customs Dept. at Kennedy Airport for over 20 years. In 1952 he enlisted in the Navy and was honorably discharged in 1955. He graduated in 1964 from City College with a BA in History, he also worked part time helping the under privileged children at Hawthorne Home in Hawthorne, NY. Michael is survived by his 3 children; Paul, Laura and Mark and their spouses Susan, David and Karen and 5 grandsons Michael, Christopher, Nicholas, Alex and Matthew and was predeceased by a granddaughter Miranda who died in 1999. Visiting hours will be in the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 7-9pm and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in Christ the King Church on Saturday September 24th at 10am. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Whalen & Ball Funeral Home 168 Park Avenue
