Nancy Lois Barraclough April 2, 1924- March 8, 2006 COLUMBUS, GA— Nancy Lois Barraclough, 81, of Columbus, GA died at Columbus Hospice House Wednesday, March 8, 2006. Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, March 11, 2006 in Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Cynthia Garrard officiating according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road. The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Little. Mrs. Barraclough was born April 2, 1924 in Carrboro, NC daughter of the late Lucian Eric Rigsbee and Sally Ava Rigsbee. She had retired from Maritz Inc. as a Marketing Researcher with over 30 years of service. Mrs. Barraclough was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. She was the "Rock" of her family communicating with everyone on a regular basis. She was always giving to others and never asking for anything in return. Her selfless heart lead her and her husband, to help raise her two grandsons after the death of her daughter, Donna Barraclough Holt in March of 1988. She always encouraged her family to excel in everything they did. Mrs. Barraclough was preceded in death by her husband, Donald F. Barraclough; her daughter, Donna Barraclough Holt; sister, Dorothy Rigsbee and two brothers, Emmett and Earl Rigsbee. Survivors include her son, Douglas A. Barraclough of Atlanta, GA; two grandsons, Brian Holt of Denton, TX and David Holt of Auburn, AL; a niece, Kay Berkley of Raleigh, NC.
