Nancy Pettit Obituary

PETTIT, NANCY TURNER

On Sunday, August 18, 2002, NANCY PETTIT, a devoted wife and mother passed away and will be deeply missed. Nancy, born on March 25, 1959, cherished the good in people as much as we cherished it in her. She was a committed healthcare professional, devoted 19 years at Sibley Hospital in Washington, DC and most recently at Reston Hospital. She graduated from Hayfield High School, Alexandria, VA and contiued her education at Radford and Northern VA Community Colleges, earning an Associates Degree in Nursing. She is survived by her daughter, Sara Jane Gustine; her husband, Joseph Aylor Pettit, Jr.; father, Tyler Turner; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Kate Turner; aunt and uncle, Jill and Tommy Shapard; cousins, Tom Shapard and his wife, Christy and Cass Shapard; uncle, Pete Imray and many other loving family members and friends. A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 24 at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME OF ARLINGTON, 4510 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA. The family greatfully appreciates all prayers offered for their intentions at this time. Interment private. Donations may be sent to Ken Turner, for Sara Jane Gustine Educational Trust Fund.
