Neil Robertson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 3, 2018.
Neil John Robertson
January 29, 1953 – June 30, 2018

Neil passed away peacefully at Lake of the Woods District Hospital on June 30, 2018.

He was predeceased by his parents, Senator John A. "Pete" Robertson and Roberta Robertson (Roach).

Neil is survived by his brother, Jim Robertson, sister, Joyce Blyth and their families as well as a large extended family.

Neil led a colourful life while facing many challenges. He was employed in a wide range of jobs but was happiest when he was following his passions of fishing and guiding. Many of his guests not only praised his abilities on the water, but enjoyed his enthusiasm for political banter and his knowledge of the local plants and animals. His bookshelves are a testament to his appetite for knowledge and information.

Many thanks to Dr. Deketele and the staff in emergency and ICU for their excellent care. We are also grateful to Les Livingston, Murray Robertson and Beth Vaudry, for their love and support.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date.

Neil, I know there are lakes in heaven, and lots of guiding and fishing still to do. Godspeed Neil.

Neil, I remember you as a friend from a young age until we were adults. Adventure level high, safety level zero! The pea shooter you had from your Dad. The sight glass from a steam engine. Your pride in marksmanship in Air Cadets. Good job! Your spoke your mind always! A Friend. Love U and Miss U.
