Nerine Smith Adams Korak

SUN CITY, Ariz. – Nerine Smith Adams Korak, 86, died August 26, 2013 at the Green Desert Care Home in Glendale, Ariz. She was born in Hillsborough the daughter of Walter J. and Hattie (Thurston) Smith. She spent her childhood growing up in Hillsborough where she was a graduate of Hillsborough High School.

Nerine spent many years living in Penacook working for Beede Electric, and then for the Chubb Life Insurance Co., in Concord where she retired from after many years of employment.

In her free time and retirement years, Nerine enjoyed traveling as well as knitting and sewing.

She was predeceased by her first husband, James R. Adams in 1986; a son, Dean R. Adams in 1980; a brother, Charles Wheeler; and three sisters, Dorothy Graham, Marion Gauthier and Velna McClintock.

She is survived by her husband, John Korak of Sun City, Ariz.; four daughters, Karen Murray and her husband, Don, of Penacook, Velna Adams and Susan Earnshaw of Sun City, Ariz., JoAnn Quillen and her husband, Keith, of Tucson, Ariz. and Patricia Adams of Bend, Ore.; four grandsons, Scott Murray and his wife, Heather, of Penacook, Kevin Murray and Amanda Perkins of Henniker, Ryan Quillen of Arizona and Dean Adams of Colorado; four great-grandsons, Miles, Tylen, Tanner and Eli Murray; a brother, Frank Smith and his wife, Ruth, of Spring Hill, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will take place on Saturday, June 21, at 11 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery in Penacook where she will be buried with her husband, James, and son, Dean Adams.
