Nick Dakin was born on April 28, 1989 in Roseville California and joined his loving grandma Joanna Mae Esau in Heaven on March 31, 2014.
Nick was a loving, loyal, kind, sweet gentle soul and son to Patti & Vernon Scheuplein and Tim Dakin, brother to Sarah Dakin, Chandler Dakin and Brooke Dakin and step brother to Brittney Mosley and Alexis Scheuplein, Uncle of Mila Gray, grandson to Don & Bobbie Metzner, Larry Esau and Vernon Scheuplein Sr., and Alicia Scheuplein. Special Nephew to Jim & Karen Samples and Mary Driskill. Cousin and friend to so many wonderful and caring people with special mention to cousins Joshua Samples, Chris Rice and Casey Lynn Howe, his dear and loyal friends Jordan, Andrew, Blaine, Taylor, Petey, Jeff and Zack and finally, his first, last and forever love Macy Dean Lefebvre.
Nick enjoyed family gatherings, camping, hiking, and music. His love and knowledge of animals was immense. In additional to his love for the great outdoors and animals, Nick was an avid football and basketball fan. He played youth football for Rocklin Junior Thunder and Rocklin High School. He was a diehard Oakland Raider fan and bled Silver and Black. Nick attended Sacramento State University studying Criminal Justice.
Funeral Service were held at Adventure Christian Church, located at 6401 Stanford Ranch Road, Roseville, CA 95678. Burial Services were conducted at Newcastle Cemetery. Reception was held following the burial at the Adventure Christian Church.

My heart goes out to the Dakin family. I spoke a few times with Nick in high school and I never unfortunately, got the chance to really, truly get to know him. However, what I do know of him is that he is so loved and his smile attracts many. He has a glow about him that could just brighten someone's day. What an angel you guys have shared with the world.
