Our mothers were lifelong friends so we saw each other grow up. During my student years Nick was already a young businessman, the man about town and anchor to the weekend party nights in Stone. After the 1970 our worlds parted and we seldom met, but when he did visit, Nick illuminated the occasions with his urbane, witty and courteous manner. Everyone that I introduced to him, fell under his spell and Charm. We saw the best of Nick. He is sadly missed.

My brother Tony (King)and Nick have been friends for longer than they would care to admit. Nick stayed at Tony's in Lympstone, England many times and when I stayed there during my school holidays I loved it when Nick was there. He was my first schoolgirl crush. I was only 13 and he was 28 but I would follow him anywhere. Once when out deep sea fishing, Nick was diving in the sea and I decided to jump in after him much to the horror of my Mother. So many years have passed but I always remembered him.
Very sad to hear of his passing but I bet he's living it up wherever he is. God Bless Nick

We just talked to our Dear Nick
not long ago. We were so much
looking for him to knock at our
door soon. It was never meant to be.
He and Jan were friends close to
28 years. Great friends. He had many friends in the Santa Ynez and Santa Barbara area where we used to
live. Nick sold our yacht, that's
where we first met him. That continued into a long wonderful
journey. What alot of good times
we all had together. Nick being a
fun loving, generous man. Oh how
we wish we could be together again
for laughs. So Dear Nick...rest well
you will always be in our thoughts
and hearts..Carol and alan

I knew Nick for several years where we worked at Village Green Office Park in Westlake Village, California. I work for Rick Van Name, who was Nick's good friend. Nick was always very gentle and kind, and I enjoyed his keen sense of humor. He will be missed.

We first met Nick (Champagne Shirley) about 9 years ago. Nick was always the “Gentleman” and was often the life and soul of a party. He literally “Lost his shirt” on the dance floor at our wedding which took place on a yacht in Newport Beach in August of 2000.
He was a sensitive and intelligent man with a great sense of humor. Unfortunately, Nick suffered a spate of bad luck in both health and business over the last several years. He was a guest at our home on several occasions and became more like part of our family.
We will miss his warmth, laughter and great jokes.

Nick was my cousin and as he was 10 years older than me, he always seemed the "cool dude": Surfing, Rallying (cars) and camping on the beach on Anglesey, North Wales.
Nick was my Best Man at our wedding and will always have a special place in our hearts. We will miss him.

Rick & I first met Nick in Westlake Village about 9 years ago and had been close friends ever since. He was a guest in our home many times, and even lived with us for a few months, while he was in between residences.
Nick was one of the sweetest people we have ever know. Always kind and generous, never having a bad thing to say about anyone. He always had us laughing at his stories. What a wonderful wit he had. We will miss him very much.

I was Nick's cousin and have known him all my life. Whenever he came to England to visit the family he always met up with David & I for a drink and a chat. We will always remember the last time he was here and the happy times we all spent together. We were so sorry to hear that Nick had passed away.

We grew up together. but more than that my Mum and Dad were best friends with Harry and Ileen before Nick and I came along. Nick and I went to the same school, worked at the same company, drank in the same pubs, shared the same friends in the UK. We were mates.
I would just like to pass on my sympathy to all those touched by this loss.
