It is with deep sorrow we announce Nicholas Andrew Smith Jr., age 18 of Debary, FL, died on December 29th, 2018 in a fatal car accident. He was born in Deland, FL on August 22nd, 2000. Nick graduated from University High and was beginning classes at Daytona State. Nick loved music and had a deep passion for sports and athletics, basketball most of all. Nick valued family over everything and with Nick; his friends were part of his family. Nick will be missed every day by his family, Samantha, Stephen, Andrew, Joni, Molly, Jason and Melissa. Donations can be made to the National Foundation for Teen Safe Driving in memory of Nicholas Smith. A Celebration of Life will be held for Nick at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home on January 13th, 2019 from 2:00pm until 6:00pm. Please stop by to share stories of Nick's life and to remember him.
