Ofelia Alameda Obituary
Ofelia Alameda , beloved sister and aunt, entered rest on February 12, 2013 at the age of 92. A native of San Antonio, she was born to Alejandro and Carolina Alameda on January 18, 1921. Ofelia previously worked for civil service with Kelly Air Force Base and later retired from Joske's Department Store, where she was a member of the Quarter Century Club. She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by brother, Abelardo Alameda; sister, Margarita A. Guerra and late husband Martin G. Guerra; nieces and nephews: Margaret "Cookie" Bombella and Ricardo Reyna, Al Alameda, Cynthia Agueros, and Robert Alameda; special friend, Armando Delgado. The family will receive friends at 6:00 p.m., Friday, February 15, 2013 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers for a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, February 16, 2013 to celebrate a 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Agnes Catholic Church. We only knew her for what seems like a brief moment, but in that short time her warm and kind personality shown through. I have learned to love her and her loving niece "Cookie" who was ever by her side caring, supporting, and providing her every need and desire. May God bless us all with someone who so closely follows His will. Kimmie and I will miss her "Cookie", and we will keep you and your mother in our prayers. Janet
