Patricia Trainor Obituary

Patricia Lastinger Trainor, 61, died on the 28th of June 2019 at the Augusta University Medical Center, Richmond County, Augusta, Georgia after a long illness.

Mrs Trainor was born on the 16th of October, 1957 at Halifax Hospital, Daytona Beach, Florida to Clyde Edward Lastinger and Patricia Bargeron Lastinger. She graduated from Mainland Senior High School, Daytona Beach, Florida in 1975 and married Joel Andrew Trainor on the 21st of January 1976 in Norfolk, Virginia. The couple had two children; Johnathan Micheal Trainor and Stephanie Lynn Trainor.

Patricia worked as a chairside dental assistant and dental office manager. She retired in 2007 when she suffered a heart attack. In 2008, Patty received a heart transplant at the University of Alabama Medical Center, Birmingham, Alabama. Given the blessing of a new lease on life, she spent her time loving family and friends. Her true passion was spending time with her seven grandchildren ages 2 to 20. She touched many lives along the road of life with her love, kindness and generosity.

She is survived by her mother, brother, husband, two children, seven grandchildren and her loving and faithful companion Coco.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the Augusta University Medical Center and Nephrology Center of America in Grovetown for their exceptional professional skills and compassion shown to her and the family. Also, we are eternally thankful for Dr David Reid and Staff at the Reid Family Dentistry for their long time support and love for Patricia and her family.

My most awesome and favorite memories of my childhood to my adult years were knowing that Joel and Patty were going to have me laughing at some of the funniest stories ever. Along with the laughter, Franco American Spaghetti became a favorite food and with Patty's world famous SWEET TEA. I used to drink it so fast she was making it daily. I was blessed to have the greatest Aunt. Love you Aunt Patty.

Gone too soon! This special lady is one of a kind! She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will always be remembered as the rock of her family. My hope is that her kindness and devotion lives on through all that know her. Patty will truly be missed. RIP my dear friend!

Patty was a very special lady and loved by everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed but we can't help but smile on the inside when thinking about the legacy she is leaving behind. She taught a lot to her children and her children's children. Think about all the generations that have been and will be blessed by the life she lived.
