Paul Dawidowicz Obituary

Waterford - Paul J. Dawidowicz, 70, of Waterford, peacefully passed away at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital. Born March 12, 1952, a native of Wethersfield, Paul later moved to Niantic where he took faithful care of his parents, Mary and Felix at Giant's Neck Beach.

Paul attended St. Francis College in Biddeford, Maine. Paul was the longtime building technician at the Thames Club in New London, a historic 1905 building. His "Jack of all trades" skill set, and affable disposition made him a crucial team member at the club, and his efforts contributed to making the Thames Club become the premier social club in the New London area.

Paul's two greatest loves were reading, and his cat Yulee. Paul will be remembered by family and friends for his kindness and keen wit, qualities that beamed even in illness.

He is survived by his brother Peter (Priscilla); sister Patricia (Robert) Beaulac, and sister Rosalie (Raymond) Jefferson. He was uncle to Beth, Leslie, Peter, Ian and Bryan. Paul was a communicant of St. Joseph's in New London, and will be put to rest at a private service this spring. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on Paul's behalf to the Connecticut Humane Society.
