July 10, 1934 - December 31, 2021
Federal Way, Washington - Paul, 87 yrs, died peacefully in his home with his wife of 60 years, Donna, and daughter Kristin by his side.
He traveled the world as a career US Foreign Service Officer, always having a deep call to the mountains of the West. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved sports, proud 100% Norwegian, and staunch environmentalist. He thoroughly enjoyed his retirement years with a second career as a watercolor artist creating hundreds of beautiful paintings and making many fly fishing trips. He loved his volunteering at Valhalla Elementary School helping youngsters with basic reading skills.
He is survived by wife Donna (Federal Way, WA), daughters Kristin Neufeld (Fircrest, WA), Karen Mott (Davidsonville, MD) , Britta Glasoe (Syracuse, NY), 8 grandchildren, and one great grandbaby.
Due to the current Covid pandemic, there will not be a service at this time. Any remembrances /condolences can be sent in his honor to North Cascades Institute in Sedro-Woolley, WA (360-854-2599).

My sincere condolences to the family for Paul's loss. I'm honored that I got to meet Donna & Paul in my work at North Cascades Institute. They were so warm, caring, engaging, interesting, and generous with their support of our youth and school programs. Paul loved our Youth Leadership Adventures (high school) and Mountain School (5th grade) programs the most and knew the benefit of provides opportunities for young people in nature. He donated two beautiful watercolors of the mountains that he painted and we have them up at the Environmental Learning Center. He will be very missed.
