PHYLLIS J. WUNDERLICH

PHYLLIS J. WUNDERLICH, 87, of Ft. Myers Beach, Fla., passed away on Monday, Jan. 25, 2016, in Bonita Springs, Fla. Born Sept. 11, 1928, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of Mildred and Hillard Moore. She married Richard T. Wunderlich Sr. in Fort Wayne on Feb. 5, 1946, they were married for 52 years; he preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 2001. Phyllis was a graduate of South Side High School, Fort Wayne, in 1945. Co-owner of Wunderlich Oil Co., Kokomo, Ind., with her husband, Richard for 30 years. Phyllis managed Crestwood Apartments for Justice Property Management Co. in Indianapolis, Ind., from May of 1991 to September of 1996. She was a Realtor from 1979 to 1996 in Kokomo, Ind. and from 2003 to 2011 in Ft. Myers, Fla. She retired to Lake Placid, Fla. in September of 1996 and then to Ft. Myers, Fla. in December of 2002. Phyllis was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star Trinity Chapter 576, Fort Wayne. Phyllis is survived by two sons, Steven S. (Kris) Wunderlich and David L. (Paula) Wunderlich; daughter-in-law, Susan Wunderlich (Richard Wunderlich Jr.); and nine grandchildren, Chance (Jeannine) Wunderlich, Jeff (Marla) Wunderlich, Katherine "Kiki" Wunderlich, Brad (Audrey) Wunderlich, Travis (Christina) Wunderlich, Jason (Bridgette) Wunderlich, Nicholas (Kami) Wunderlich, Holly (Trent) Stone, and Jillian Wunderlich; 12 great-grandchildren, Parker, Luke, Madison, Mason, Braden, Victoria, Makenzie, Trey, Sienna, Isabelle, Logan, Haley, and Tenley; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, Richard T. Wunderlich Jr. on Oct. 6, 2011; two sisters and a brother. Service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at Lindenwood Cemetery, 2324 W.
