Raymond Joseph Burmaster

Raymond Joseph Burmaster passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013 after losing his battle with mesothelioma. Age 59 years. Loving husband for almost 29 years to Kathy Nickens Burmaster. Son of Avis Babineaux Burmaster and the late Raymond Ernest Burmaster. Son-in-law of the late Robert Eugene and Rosalie Liberto Nickens. Beloved brother Avis Pomierski (Edwin), Claire Adams (Paul), and Kim Jimenez (Carlos). Brother-in-law of Carol Watson (Tommy), Susan Wartberg, and John Macera II (Connie). Loving uncle of Ashley Jimenez, Carlos Jimenez, Mollie d'Aquin (Jimmy), John Macera III (Erin), Mark Macera, Emily Hunt, Joshua Baudoin (Jaime), Edward Baudoin, Jr., Felicia Adams, Robert Watson (Andrea), Michael Watson, and Melissa Pohlmann (Shane); and great uncle of Forrest Chessher, IV, Joshua Baudoin, Jr., Ian d'Aquin, Jacob d'Aquin, Blake Pohlmann, Seth Pohlmann, Madeline Watson, Benjamin Watson, Mckenzie Hunt, Miranda Hunt, and the late Claudia d'Aquin. He will be missed dearly by family and many friends. Mr. Burmaster was formerly of Gretna, and has resided in Marrero for the last 30 years. Relatives, friends, and employees of Stallings Construction and Ochsner Westbank are invited to attend the visitation at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, November 16, 2013 beginning at 9:00AM. A Funeral Mass will follow the visitation at 2:00PM. Interment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum.
