Richard BEALE Obituary

BEALE, Richard Francis Of Scituate, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on July 6, 2025, at the age of 94. Richard was the son of the late Edward and Mildred (Miller) Beale. Loving husband of 59 years to the late Doris (Moriarty). Cherished father of Thomas (Tara) of Plympton, Timothy (Marina) of Plymouth and the late Betty Beale and Terry Beale. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Taite, Tristan, Trent, Toriana; and great-grandson, Kaden Ryan. Beloved brother to the late Edward, Charles, Robert and Maureen.

Richard grew up in East Boston then moved to Dorchester after graduating from Boston College High School in 1948. He played Park League Football in Dorchester and then enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. He received his Bachelors and Master's Degree in Accounting and Public Administration from Northeastern University.

He was a very humble man, faithful to God, honest and a great sense of humor. He worked in for the Mass Rehab Commission for many years, helping people with disabilities receive the assistance for an independent life. He also was well known for preparing tax returns for residents of the South Shore, specifically those who were elder and on fixed incomes.

He enjoyed retirement by traveling with his wife to Florida, casino trips and other vacations. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 9am-10:30am, at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, SCITUATE. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11am, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 10 Summer Street, Cohasset.
