I was in Cdr Bergin's NROTC Supply Corp Class for two years (1954 and 1955) and was commissioned into the US Navy Supply Corp in September 1955. As a civil engineering student, Cdr Bergin was my first contact with the business world. Although I practiced engineering my entire professional career including owning and operating my own business, it was my contact with Cdr Bergin and his positive outlook on life that gave me the tools and confidence to handle the business world. I can truly say that Cdr Bergin was a great role model.

Our condolences to the Bergen family. You are in our prayers. Mr. Bergen was quite a guy and a friend who was always ready to share
a conversation.
