Richard Raymond Lopez was born February 17, 1947 to the parents of Margarita Lopez and Tony Lopez in Winton, California. Richard passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the age of 71 in Turlock, California. He was a native resident of Merced, California all of his life. Richard took care of his family as a truck driver on his regular route to deliver his Miller Beer. Richard was a proud volunteer at the Living Well Café where he won multiple service awards; he was a longtime member of The Grange and local Italian Lodge. But the most important job he had was a Dad to his kids. His other love was his dogs Panda, Rico' Miggy and Puppy. He loved asking for his senior discount everywhere he went. He was funny and always helped anyone he could. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. Richard is survived by daughters Irene (Rolando) Hermoso of Merced; Margaret (Josh) Ziese of Merced, California; Deanna (Justin) Lopez of Sacramento, California; son Raymond (Alexis) Lopez of Merced, California; brothers Tony Lopez of Arizona and brother David Lopez of Modesto, California and his ex-wife, Deanna Lopez of Merced, California. Richard is also survived by his 10 grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his parents Tony and Margarita Lopez; and his brother Robert Lopez.
A memorial service for Richard will be held Friday, June 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Merced Colony Grange / The Clay Ministries, Inc., 2711 E. Childs Ave, Merced, California 95341.
