PAWLACZYK, Richard
Born on April 16, 1940 in Poland, passed away on February 10, 2013 in Sacramento. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, brother and three children Karen, Lori and Eric. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Carol, whom he adored, and Mickey his devoted dachshund. Family members include Katherine and Jan Akins; Jennifer Akins, Todd, Katie and Sarah Benson; Nancy and Jeremiah Veitenhans; Rozanne, Jeff and Kristi Matal, Jason, Andrea, Rebecca and Daniel McPhee; Steven and Shawna and Greg Pawlaczyk; Sharon and Amanda Hawkins; June, Brad and Barbara, David and Kristen Fenocchio; Susan and Richard Parsons; the family of Bill Miller; Allen Miller and family; Tania Maheu; and cousins living in France and Poland.

Richard was a man of many interests and was passionate about flying and photography. He also enjoyed fishing , camping, history, gardening, computers and traveling. Hobbies included remote controlled airplanes and electronics. Richard had worked at the Sacramento Bee and the Sacramento Union and had been employed for many years as an HVAC Technician at UCD Medical Center at the time of his death. Richard will be remembered by family and friends who loved him as a man of great kindness and compassion. He will be missed for his generous spirit, sense of humor, and passion for life.

Viewing at Harry A. Nauman & Son at 4041 Freeport Blvd from 4pm to 7pm and the Rosary from 7pm to 8pm on Tuesday, February 19, 2013. Service at 10am at Harrry A. Nauman & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 followed, by graveside service at St. Mary's Cemetery.
