I'm very sad to hear of Dr. Weirich's passing. He was one of my favorite teachers ever and I will always remember my time in his class thanks to his passion and dry wit. The world has lost an amazing man and teacher.

Dr. Weirich was one of most memorable teachers I had over the course of my education. He had a great sense of humor, challenged his students and was a great person. Wishing the best for the Weirich family.

Josh and Family,
So sorry to hear about your dad. Whether around the school or an athletic field, I always found your dad to be wise, insightful, humorous and kind. With sympathy for your loss.

We knew Dick through his parents, Bob and Eleanor, exceptionally caring, warm, and generous people. Their son followed in their footsteps and left the world a better place! Think of how many young lives he touched in all those many years of teaching. Our sincerest condolences to Dick's family for your loss of a fine man, husband, father, and son. Blessings to all of you at this difficult time. Our love,
Pastor Gary and Marty Epler (pastor of Bob and Eleanor 1970-1979.)

What a sweet man he was. Gone far too young.

We are all so very sorry to hear of Dick's passing. One of the finest gentlemen I've known and I especially will remember him with his ever present camera on the sidelines capturing Josh's exploits on the athletic field. Jane, Sarah and Josh our prayers and thoughts are with you all. With sympathy for your loss, the Crean Family

A good man, a gentle man. My physics teacher at Rumford High School in the early 1970s, Dr. Weirch was very kind to me, a kid without much math or science savvy. As good teachers do, he stuck in there with me, and for that, and his gentle way, I'll always remember him fondly.

So sorry to hear of this loss to the Weirich family. Mr. Weirich was the BEST Science (Physics) teacher EVER! I have many fond memories of his classes...he made learning fun!
May the family find comfort in knowing that you are now in the loving arms of your creator. Rest in peace my friend...

A grateful student...

Dr. Weirich is the reason I became an engineer and for that I am eternally grateful. He helped me to discover that I could combine my love of music with my passion for science. So sad to hear of his passing, but know it was a life well lived, inspiring and educating!

I taught with Dick at SPHS. There was no finer person or teacher. He was soft spoken and caring. He knew his subject material and taught it with passion.
He was a gentleman with the emphasis on the gentle. Hail and Farewell, Dick.
