There are no words to express the shock and sadness we are feeling for the loss of Richard, who has left us way too soon.
Sam had a friendship with Richard throughout middle school, high school and as they began their next journey at Columbus State. Etched in our memory forever will be Richard's smile as he walked from the stage at graduation, after receiving his diploma, to the cheers of family and friends.
As parents, the loss of a child is truly unimaginable and our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Wellmer family,
I am extremely sorry for your loss and keeping you close in my prayers. Richard was truly one of a kind and I cannot believe that he is no longer with us. He always put a smile on my face, and he truly brought out the best in others. I will always remember walking home from school together and the excitement we shared when the browns won or when he was talking about his cats that he loved so much. Sherry and family we are so incredibly sorry for your loss. I was with Graeme this weekend in Dallas when Al called him with the sad news. Graeme was so sad and said that Richard was one of the nicest, coolest and funniest guy that he has ever known. Richard, Al, Graeme, Evan and the gang from middle school south formed a bond in middle school, while skateboarding, snowboarding and hanging out together.
Graeme and Richard's friends are so sad that such a good guy's life ended so suddenly and so short.
