Robert Alkire Obituary
ROBERT WAYNE ALKIRE (Age 53)
Of Marshall, VA, passed away suddenly at his residence on February 15, 2007. Beloved son of Renee M. Alkire and the late Faryl F. Alkire; brother of Richard (Betty) Alkire, Patricia (James) Zell and Gerald (Linda) Alkire. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at MURPHY FALLS CHURCH FUNERAL HOME, 1102 W. Broad St., (Rt. 7), where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday and where services will be held on Thursday, February 22 at 2 p.m. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.

Bobby, you have been gone so many years, I cant believe it. Im now 61 years old, so I think you would be 65 years old. I cant even picture that! I hope you and Jerry and everyone else are having a wonderful time. I dont know if I ever thanked you for that little gift that appeared at my house right after you left. There was no doubt it was from you. Thanks for letting me know you are still around, somewhere.

Bobby, I still miss you so much. Was thinking you had only been gone about 4 years, but it's been much more. We'll never stop thinking of you and keeping your spirit alive in our hearts. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Even though it has been many, many years since I last saw Bobby or Jerry, when I heard the news about Bobby, I took a minute to remember the "good ol' days", and, as it turns out, a lot of the memories are a little on the fuzzy side. The ones that I do still have are nothing but great. Bobby- rest in peace.
