Troy, Illinois - Robert Lee Fulkerson, 89, of Troy, IL passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023. He was born June 5, 1934 in Belleville, IL to Samuel and Doris (Crabtree) Fulkerson. He married the love of his life, Barbara, on June 21, 1950.
Bob was a part owner of National Commission Co at the St. Louis National Stockyards. He was President of the Stockyards Exchange from 1987-1989. Bob managed khoury league baseball teams and was President of the Landsdowne Khoury League. He loved playing golf, going to the casino with friends and most of all, being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors left to cherish his memory include his son, James (Rosemary nee Frisse) Fulkerson; daughter-in-law, Donna nee Chasteen Fulkerson; grandchildren, Michelle (Chris) Gruener, Cheri (Andy) Prusa, Jaime (Jon) Kreyling, Robert (Heather) Fulkerson III and Kristyn (Michael) Cantu and 11 great-grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara Fulkerson on June 3, 2023; son, Robert L. Fulkerson Jr on December 12, 2018; brother, David Fulkerson; sister, Doris Lorraine Walker and great-granddaughter, Jayda Fulkerson.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023 from 4:00pm-7:00pm in Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at 11:00am with visitation from 10:00am until time of service. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to Promedica Hospice or the American Heart Association.
