Robert Martin Moyle

SPARTA - Robert Martin Moyle, 75, of Sparta, died Dec. 21, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Carbondale, Pa., Bob was a resident of Sparta for 42 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Bob worked for PSE&G for 18 years in Linden, and retired from Picatinny Arsenal after 18 years. He was a member of the Sparta Elks and the American Legion in Sparta, and was an avid hunter, fisherman and dog owner.

Bob was predeceased by his father, John, his mother, Margaret, and four brothers and five sisters. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan (LeStrange) Moyle, and devoted children, Ann Marie Moyle, of Morristown, William Moyle and his wife, Jennifer, of Sparta, Mary Ellen Moyle, of Sparta, and Kathleen Moyle Craig and her husband, Jason, of Sparta. Loving grandfather of Billy and Emma Moyle and Grace and Devin Craig; brother of Catherine Wyllie, of Nutley; brother-in-law to many and uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, at Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27, at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 294 Sparta Ave., Sparta.
