Robert Lee "Rob Pooler" Wells

Deacon Robert Lee "Rob" "Pooler" Wells, entered into eternal rest at Touro Infirmary Hospital on Sunday, November 12, 2023. He was 77 years old. A native of Woodville, Mississippi and a resident of New Orleans, Louisiana for many years. Robert was baptized at an early age at Chapel B.C. in Woodville, Mississippi. He attended Deer Park Elementary Middle School in Woodville, MS., WCTS, and Southern University of Baton Rouge in Baton Rouge, LA. He moved his membership to Greater King Solomon B.C. under the leadership of Pastor John T. White where he served faithfully as a Deacon and Sunday School Student. Robert served in the Airforce for 4 years. He was a truck driver, owner and operator for over 50 years. He was also employed with Superior Carrier Chemical Inc. and Heniff Chemical Inc. He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted, loving and caring wife; Estoria Wilson Wells, 4 children; Ruby Selena Wells Sharper of Dallas, TX., Christoper (Kimberly) Wells of Maple Grove, MN., Thalamus D. Wells (Letecia) of San Antonio, TX., and Robin Wells of Baton Rouge, LA., 1 stepdaughter; Tiffany Weber of San Antonio, TX., and 1 Stepson; Andrew James Burkette, III of Baton Rouge, LA. Brother of Airlaundry Wells (Beverly) of Cleveland, OH, Clara W. Cooper of Baker, LA., Elmore Wells of Baton Rouge, LA., Laura W. Harvey of Terry, MS., Gloria (Rev. Charles) Wadley, Sr. of Metairie, LA., Roscoe Wells, Sr. (Betty) of New Orleans, LA., Albert (Jewelean) Wells of Geismar, LA., and Alyce W. (Perry) Gray of Clinton, MS., Daughter-in-law; Siobhan Wells of Baton Rouge, LA., 3 sisters-in-law; Ruby W. Washington, Annette Wilson, and Diane Estelle all of New Orleans, LA., he was also survived by 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel Wells and Helen Conelia Morgan Wells, 1 son Tyrone Wells, 1 brother Paul Wells, 1 sister Lowree W. Gibbs, Mother-in-law Geneva Q. Wilson and father-in-law Caleb Wilson, Jr. Relatives and Friends of the family, also Pastors, Officers and Members of Greater King Solomon B.C., Lilly of the Valley B.C. in Metairie, LA., Chapel B.C. in Woodville, MS., Greater Oak Grove B.C. in Zachary, LA., Shilah B.C. in Baton Rouge, LA., Mt. Eva B.C. in Terry, MS., James Chapel B.C., Little Zion B.C., Refuge Temple of Jackson, MS., Good Shepard B.C. of Cleveland, OH., Superior Carrier Chemical Inc., and Heniff Chemical Inc. are all invited to attend the Funeral Service at Greater King Solomon B.C. 3305 Audubon St. New Orleans, Louisiana 70125 on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 10:00am. Visitation will begin at 9:00am until time of service. Interment in Lake Lawn Mausoleum 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. Metairie, LA.
