Rodolfo "Rudy" Ruben Ledesma
Rodolfo Rueben (Rudy) Ledesma, 59, of San Antonio, TX, passed away Saturday, 13 February 2021 from complications after suffering a heart attack. He was born in San Antonio, TX to Rebecca (Campa) and Rodolfo X. Ledesma. Rudy graduated from Holy Cross High School in 1979 and went on to serve in the United States Navy for 16 years as a Hospital Corpsman. He married M. Leslie Palmer on 5 August 2006. Palmer; his parents, Rebecca and Rudy Ledesma; his sisters, Rosa Maria and Rosa Linda Ledesma; Jean Kelly (former wife and mother of Mary Catherine and Thomas); and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws.
After a career in the Navy, Rudy lived in Newport, RI and worked at the Newport Hospital, Emergency Department. In 2003 he returned to San Antonio to run Ledesma Personal Care Home. Rudy enjoyed fishing and hunting, but most of all he loved to spend time with family and friends. He had one of those smiles that could light up any room, and he was often found sharing his infectious laugh and sense of humor with those around him. He was a lifelong fan of the University of Texas Longhorns, the Dallas Cowboys, the San Antonio Spurs. From his time spent in the northeast, he adopted a love for New England sports teams as well.
