Ronald Cole

RONALD COLE, 78, Port Charlotte, FL. Formerly of Charleston, was peacefully taken to his Heavenly home by God's Angles on Monday, December 29, 2025.
Ron was a graduate of Smethport Area High School, Class of 1965. Attended Penn State. Began his career at Graybar Electric Co. St. Louis, Mo (13 yrs) and McJunkin Corp, Charleston, WV (36 yrs). Sr. VP Electrical Division, Retiring in 2014. Ron felt his calling was to restore and maintain church structures. Starting at age 27 with Rock Lake Presbyterian Church in St. Louis, Mo, Village Chapel Presbyterian Church (restoring after fire) and Morris Memorial United Methodist Church (building new sanctuary) in Charleston, WV. He shared his building talents with his family, in building our first home in 1972 and volunteering with Habitat for Humanity.
Ron was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn, father: Herman, granddaughter, Autumn.
Ron is survived by his mother, Vina, of Smethport, PA; his wife Nancy Clark Cole of 59 years; son, Ron Jr (Sherry) of Cross Lanes, WV, Bryan (Lori) of Clearwater, FL. Chad of Elkview, WV; grandchildren, Austin, Jordyn, Kelsey, Korey, Tyler, RC, Maddox; great grandchildren, Devon, Leighton, Aubree, Mia, Cooper, Jovie; brothers, Roger of Lewis Run, PA, Courtney (Kris) of Smethport, PA. Todd of Bradford, PA.
Celebration of Ronald's life will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, February 1, at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, Cross Lanes, with Chaplain Bruce Reed officiating.
Gathering of family and friends will be from Noon until time of service at the funeral home
All are invited to T&M Meats/Bistro, Cross Lanes, WV following service.
