It hard to believe it´s already been over a year since RT passed away. I think of him often and I was truly blessed to have had him in my life. I know he is sorely missed by his family. It´s comforting to know that his legacy continues by way of his loving family and all the people he touched with his guidance and generosity.

Robin, So sorry to read about the loss of your father. I didn’t know him, but I'm sure he was a good man. God bless you.

I met Ronald in 1975 when I began working at Giddens Griffith Funeral Home on Edgewood Avenue. He quickly became one of the greatest influences of my young life and his influence has stayed with me for my entire life. Ronald treated everyone that worked for him fairly and like family. I never heard him utter a disparaging word about anyone and he treated the families he served with reverence, dignity and respect. It didn't matter if a family spent $1000.00 or $20,000.00 for a funeral service, he made every family feel special and treated everyone equally. It was for these reasons that Giddens Funeral Homes became a pinnacle in the funeral industry. Ronald loved the funeral business and for his entire career he worked 7-days a week to ensure every funeral service provided by the company bearing his name was the absolute best. Ronald loved his family and nothing made him prouder than seeing his family benefit from his hard work and labor. He was a humble man and he would become uncomfortable if he overheard someone talk about his achievements. I was truly blessed to have known Ronald and to be able to call him my friend. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

Summers at the beach, steaks on the grill and long walks with Ronald searching for those elusive shark’s teeth. My memories will never fade but i will dearly miss my uncle Ronald. Always a smile, a kind word and fatherly guidance.
