Rosa Saucedo Obituary

A loving wife and mother, Rosa Elia Saucedo, 76, of Missouri City, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on July 25, 2025. Rosa was born on September 14, 1948, in Laredo, Texas, to Manuel Avila Cruz and Maria Luisa Rodriguez. She lived in Missouri City, Texas, for the last twenty-two years, having previously resided in McAllen, Texas, and Port Arthur, Texas, where she worked as a school nurse and home health care provider.
Rosa was predeceased by her parents, Manuel Avila Cruz and Maria Luisa Rodriguez; her infant daughter, Sarah Anne; and her siblings, Manuel Cruz and Leticia Cruz Roberson. She is survived by her husband, Rodolfo; her children, Amy Chestnutt (Duane), Mary Bierds (Ryan), and Robert Saucedo (Lucia); grandchildren Johnny, Lexi, and Ben; her siblings, Yolanda (Pat), Lili, Roy, and Maria (Elton); and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, located at 12555 S Kirkwood Rd, Stafford, TX 77477, on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 3 to 4 PM. Guests who attend are encouraged to honor Rosa's memory by wearing her favorite color, purple, or maroon in honor of her alma mater. In lieu of flowers, Rosa's family encourages donations made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Heart Association.
