Royal Paschall Obituary
Royal (a.k.a. Leroy, Roy, Pops) a native to Albemarle County, was born on January 5, 1941, to the late Norman Winthrop Paschall and Jacqueline Drusilla (Martin) Paschall.
He was a Master Painter for over 30 years and an Arborist for more than 20 years, where he retired as a Forman from his brother's company, Jim's Tree Service. Roy had an enormous heart. He loved his family and friends, enjoyed his pets, nature and being outdoors. He felt pride in playing his guitar and harmonica for anyone who'd listen; especially when it drew a crowd.
In addition to his parents, Royal was preceded in death by four sisters, Edna Mae, (twin) Mary Lee, Gracie Elsie, and Frances Marie; six brothers, Jesse Paul, Thomas Zachary, David Edward Sr., Charles Eugene, Norman Ezekiel, and Emil Franklin; two daughters, Sonya Annette and Maryann; and two sons, Corey Lewis and Jesse Allen.
Royal leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved partner, Shirley Adcock; sister, Lucille Rebecca; two brothers, James Parrish and Linda, and Andrew Roger; daughter, Roxanne Lea Williams and Kevin; five sons, Royal Lee Jr., David Winthrop, Rodney Louis, Royshannon Norman and Cheri, and Keith Allen; 25 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, along with a great number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2023, at Teague Funeral Service, 2260 Ivy Road, Charlottesville, VA 22903. A funeral service will immediately follow in the Chapel at Teague Funeral Service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Royal's honor to his GoFundMe link at https://gofund.me/e37de148. The family has entrusted Teague Funeral Service in handling the arrangements.
