Ruby Smith Obituary
Ruby Ethel Smith, 88, joined her husband Ben Smith in heaven December 21, 2018.
Ruby was born in Jacksonville Illinois July 5, 1930. She was the only living survivor of fourteen children. Ruby married Ben Smith Jr. in 1947. Their first date happened over a box of popcorn and a movie.
Ruby will be greatly missed by five married children: Pamela Metras, Barbara DeLine, Vickie Shaver, Micheal Smith and Mona Douillard. Also by nine grandchildren and seven great grand children. "Mom taught us all honesty and dependability."
Celebration of life will be the morning of December 28th with visitation from 9:00-10:00, small service afterwards. Sunset Memorial Gardens located at 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL.
