Rusti L. Davis
WEST PEORIA - Rusti L. Davis, 59, of West Peoria passed away at home, surrounded by her family, on Friday, December 22, 2017.
She was born to Roger L. and Barbara (Marshall) Kleist on February 25, 1958, in Peoria IL.
She married John in Peoria on April 23, 1988.
After graduating Manual High School, she worked at OSF in the Human Resources Department for a number of years. She then went on to work at OSF in the Pathology Department as a secretary and last worked in May of 2017.
She is survived by her husband, John; two children, Sarah of Peoria, IL, and Benjamin of Milwaukee, WI; her parents; brother, Randy (Marilyn) Kleist of West Peoria, IL; sister, Robin (Tony) DeMoss of Washington, IL; brother, Ryan (Lorrie) Kleist of Peoria Heights, IL; many brothers and sisters-in-laws, Jim Davis of Peoria, IL, Janet (Craig) Sears of Decatur, IL, Joanne (James) Waechter of Morton, IL, Judy Davis and Bud Adams of Washington, IL, Jill Davis of East Peoria, IL, Jackie (Dan) Patten of Mackinaw and Jerold (Margie) Davis of New Lenox; seventeen nieces and nephews; and sixteen great-nieces and nephews.
Rusti truly made the Davis house their home and loved decorating for the seasons. She also enjoyed working in her yard, gardening and landscaping. In her free time, she loved going to craft shows and garage sales and baking for family and friends. Her family was extremely important to her throughout her life.
A special thanks to family, friends, close high school classmates and OSF Hospice for their support and love
Cremation rites have been entrusted with Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, starting at 5 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. A graveside service will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Connect Church in Washington, IL.

To the Davis family, Kleist, and her close and personal friends.... I am so sorry for your loss of such a funny, compassionate, wild spirit we have to live without. Rusti was a Manual high classmate and she was so funny and always smiling and laughing. Those are the memories I will have of her.
