DAVENPORT-Ruth Ann Hunt, 81, of Davenport, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021 at the Kahl Home in Davenport. Private graveside services will take place. Memorials may to the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation

Ruth was born in Davenport on April 25, 1940. She was the daughter of Jack and Emma (Wilkins) Fort. She graduated from Davenport High School and married the love of her life, Richard Hunt on April 24, 1965 in Davenport. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed knitting, crossword puzzles attending Mallard's hockey games and reading. Her greatest joy was her family and she dearly loved attending her grandchildren's activities over the years. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Davenport.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Richard, daughter, Michelle Asher, Walcott, grandsons, Brandon (Flaechea) Eis, Walcott and Andrew Bachus, Des Moines, IA and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Norma Haglund and Sandy Mangels.
The family would like to thank the Kahl Home, 3 South Memory Care Unit, especially Kari and Allison for their kindness and compassion shown to Ruth and her family.
