Sally McLeod Obituary
Resident of Santa Cruz
Nov. 13, 1940-Jan. 10, 2012
Sally was ill for a long time with Parkinson's and it was hard to watch this vibrant woman fade at the end. A long-time resident of Willow Glen, she enjoyed living in Santa Cruz near the beach.
Sally was the daughter of Col. Ray Busch and June Busch. She moved a lot in her youth and through this experience she learned to make and keep friends. Sally earned a degree in nursing from SJSU, where she met her husband, Darrell. Sally was a woman of many talents artist, early child educator and activist. A potter for more than 36 years, Sally also explored different mediums throughout her life. Sally believed in digging her hands in the earth, in clay, in whatever she did.
Sally and Darrell were married for 48 years and their love and friendship kept growing. They have daughters, Mollie and Diana, and grandsons, Christopher, Jeremiah and Keyshaun. Her older brother, Dennis Busch, survives Sally. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
Arrangements for a memorial gathering are pending.

I had met Sally when we both participated at the Christmas in the studio crafts faire. She will be missed by many but remembered

We are so grateful to have experienced Sally's gift of warm hospitality. She was always a spirited advocate for the underdog - a champion for justice here and around the world. We treasure the many pots she crafted and always think of the hands and spirit of their creator. Peace and love to her precious family.

A beautiful woman,inside and out, that we've always liked and admired. She was very giving, and always had a smile. We will miss her greatly. We shared many ceramic related times. We're relieved that she's at peace at last. Her spirit was inspirational and she'll never be forgotten.
