I just want family and friends to know what a wonderful and sweet person I saw in Sam Wright. Sam has been a friend and neighbor since I moved here in 1995. He was always bringing fresh produce and little surprises to a lot of doorsteps in this neighborhood. He babysat and loved my cats when I had to go out of town. He was a loving person and an icon in the community. I will miss seeing him every day riding out in his car at just about the same time or making his trip to the mailbox everyday. The Lord has a special man in his Kingdom now....and Sam feels no pain or sadness.

I will miss him,

It seems as though we have known Mr. Sam forever. He was dedicated to his job as a state constable and loved his volunteer work at the Carolina Children's home. He was a true friend, great person and loved by all who knew him. We will miss him. Thoughts and prayers to Eddie and Linda and to Bobby K. - you took great care of Pops.

Sam Wright, that was all you had to say in the neighborhood to start a conversation. He was a very loving and giving man. I have known Sam for many years and I looked up to him and admired him very much for all of his accomplishments. He was a true HERO!! Anytime we needed to laugh we would see Sam and he always made the day so much better. He had such an impact on all of us. I thought of Sam as a father figure and always wanting to take care of everyone in the neighborhood. Thank you Sam and may God Bless you. I will miss you always waiting on me when I get home from work and seeing who was going to get "the bread" this week. Things just will not be the same.

I used to work at the dry cleaners in front of where Mr Wright lived. He would walk by all the time and talk with me. he even took me to lunch on several occassions. He was a very sweet man. I enjoyed every minute I spent with him. I hadn't seen him in several years, but thought about him often. I share in your sadness. He will be missed.
