Sandra Lea Gerow Talbot

Northfield, NH — Sandra Lea Gerow Talbot, 81, of Northfield, went peacefully into the arms of the Lord on December 6, 2021.

Sandra was born on December 8, 1939, daughter of the late Lyman and Evangia (White) Gerow. Sandra was the youngest of 12. She grew up in Concords North End, attending Walker School, and graduating from Concord High School in 1958.

While raising a family Sandra attended Pierce College for Women, earning her degree in Business Administration in 1971.

In 1981, Sandra was hired by the Concord Police Department, serving as secretary to the Chief of Police for the City of Concord for 20 years, retiring in 2001.

Sandra then moved to Prescott Valley, AZ, where she enjoyed the weather. However, Sandra longed for the green of New Hampshire and wanted to be closer to her family, in 2019 she returned to her home state, settling in Northfield NH. She enjoyed the neighborhood wildlife and watching her birds, which brought so much pleasure to her.

Sandra served as a church deaconess for the First Congregational Church in Concord, NH, and then was an active member of the First Congregational Church of Prescott Valley, AZ.

Through the church, she supported the Prescott Area Shelter Services (PASS), making monthly meals to help feed and support single families.

Sandra enjoyed reading, gardening, baking, country music, line dancing, the ocean, but most of all, spending time with family, and her many beloved dogs.

Sandra is survived and missed by her husband, and best friend of 31 years Lionel Talbot of Northfield, NH; son Jeffrey Davis of Edgewater, FL; daughter Tracy Dyer (Matthew) of Northfield, NH; step-daughter Melissa Talbot of Concord, NH; step- son Barry Talbot of Concord, NH; step-son Patrick Talbot (Jennifer) of Concord, NH; step-son Michael Talbot of Manchester, Brother Arthur Gerow of Phoenix, AZ, Grandchildren Haley, Teagan, Finn, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life for Sandra will be held in the Spring of 2022. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society by visiting www.hsfn.org/donation/
