Shawn and I both grew up in Boulder City Nevada and knew each other from middle school and high school. We later became reconnected while working for CCSD. I remember Shawn as someone who had a kind and caring heart..especially with special need students. He enjoyed volunteering for Opportunity Village as
Santa Clause. He was a favorite because of his rosy cheeks and white beard. Shawn was loved and will be missed. My condolences to his family and friends. Love,Cathy Nickell

I had known Shawn since high school and we would sometimes see each other at meetings for administrators and counselors . We both worked for CCSD for many years. Shawn was the administrator for a few of my counseling friends . They often shared with me over the years how supportive Shawn was with at risk and special need students. Shawn had a kind and caring heart. He also enjoyed playing Santa Claus at Opportunity Village. His rosy cheeks and sparkling eyes...made him a favorite among faculty and students. My condolences to his family and friends. Sincerely, Cathy

I had known Shawn since our late teen years. He went to Boulder City HS while I was attending Gorman HS. I knew him at UNLV and later worked with him at CCSD. I loved Shawn. He used to volunteer at Opportunity Village as Santa Claus. One Christmas time evening I went to Opportunity Village to see him. I was 40 years old yet looking at him made me believe there was a Santa really. That snow white beard, twinkling eyes, rosy cheeks and Santa's tummy to go with it. It is a fond memory and the first thing I thought about when I heard he had passed. My condolences to his family. He was a good hearted man. Peace and Love.

I knew Shawn in High School but lost contact with him after 1966. Nonetheless, he stood out to me as a gentle giant and someone who was definitely nice to be around.
My sincere condolences to his family and close friends
